Kids Pillowcase Project

The photos here are a few of the projects we worked on this past year. As you can see, our group is not just about making big quilts. We've made table toppers, door hangings, kids pillowcases, placemats, table runners and some pillows as well as beautiful quilts. We are open to all kinds of creative endeavors. Most were beginners and new to quilting and some came to finish up projects started long ago.
We are looking into photo transfers onto cloth, which can be used in a number of ways. I'm comfortable with quilting, but blogging is new to me so please bare with me until I get the little things figured out.
This week Elizabeth finished the top to her Ragged Hearts quilt. She added some creative sashing to her's. Turned out really cute. Lenora worked hard on a fleece blanket for her grand daughter and has probably completed it already. Stacy completed some more ring for her double wedding ring quilt. It's coming right along. We missed Libby and Cathy this week.
Our next class will be an outing on 8/13/08. We will meet at Claim Jumpers Restaurant at 6 pm for dinner and then cross the parking lot to Joann's where we will have instructions from Anna Laura on choosing fabrics for projects. We will try to plan outings to other fabric and craft stores in the future. So no sewing in class next week.
If you would like to join us or have questions please call me at 291-5977.
Happy stitching and remember to have fun.
Marva
